Visual Music player Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026. Applies to version 1.0.8 and later.
Visual Music player plays and analyzes music locally for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. Support and privacy contact: wikitamila@gmail.com.
What the app does on your headset
You choose MP3 files through the system file picker. You can also choose a folder or optionally grant audio-library permission to scan locally available MP3 files. Scanning reads file names, locations and available song metadata to display your library; it does not upload your files or play them until you choose a song. The app plays the original recording, analyzes its musical features locally, and saves a copy of imported music and its generated movement analysis in the app's private storage so you can reopen it without repeating analysis. It also saves library titles, recording fingerprints used to recognize duplicate imports, and your display and playback settings. Temporary decoding and analysis files may be created while a song is processed. Temporary caches may remain until cleared by the app or operating system.
Head and controller positions are used during your session to display and control the virtual scene. The app does not save recordings of these poses. It does not access your microphone, camera, contacts or location. Audio-library scanning requires your permission; folder access is limited to the folder you select. You can revoke audio permissions or folder access through the headset settings. Imported copies may remain in private app storage until you clear the app data or uninstall it. Named saved views store your chosen scene, floor and menu layout and appearance settings.
Network access and sharing
The app has no Internet permission and does not upload your songs, analysis or settings to us. At startup it uses the Meta Platform SDK to ask Meta's on-device platform service whether the current account is entitled to use this app. The app uses the verification result to allow or block access; it does not fetch or save your Meta account identifier, purchase history or an account profile. Meta may process account, app and purchase information through its platform services under Meta's own policies. The app has no custom licensing server. Ownership verification is provided by Meta's platform; availability of its verification service may depend on the headset's account and connection state. It has no account system, advertising, analytics service, cloud storage, social sharing or tracking cookies. We do not receive your on-headset library and cannot view it remotely. Local processing is not a statement that no information is stored: the items described above are stored on your headset.
The Meta Quest operating system and Meta Store may separately process account, purchase, device, diagnostics or usage information under Meta's own policies. This policy describes this app, not Meta's platform or the file provider you select in the system picker. Selecting a file from a cloud provider may involve that provider's network service; Visual Music player itself does not upload the file.
Age and account data
The app is intended for teens and adults aged 13 and over, or the applicable minimum age in your region. Version 1.0.8 and later does not query your Meta age category, date of birth or user ID and does not ask for identity documents or a separate login. It retains the purchase-entitlement check described above. Earlier test builds may query an age category through Meta; that category was kept only in session memory, without saving it or sharing it with us.
Retention and deletion
Saved songs, analysis and preferences remain locally until the app's data is cleared or it is uninstalled. Temporary working files are cleaned up by the app after completed or cancelled jobs where possible; system caches can also be removed by the operating system. To delete all information stored by Visual Music player, use your headset's system settings to clear this app's storage, or uninstall the app. Clearing storage permanently removes the app's imported copies and analysis. Your original files outside the app are not removed by these actions. The app disables Android backup of its private data.
Because we do not possess your on-headset information, we cannot delete it remotely. Contact wikitamila@gmail.com if you need help removing the app's local data.
Contacting support
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. This is separate from the offline app. We use that information to answer your request and resolve issues. We do not ask you to send your music library. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address; we will delete correspondence we control unless retention is required by applicable law. Your email provider and our email provider may process messages under their own policies.
Children and changes
The app is not intended for children under 13, or below the applicable minimum age in your region. Device and Store age eligibility is governed by Meta's policies and the app's assigned Store age rating. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us for assistance.
We may update this policy if the app's behavior changes. Any future online features would require an updated disclosure. Music playback, accompaniment analysis and optional Vocal Focus run locally. The Vocal Focus models are included with the app and need no separate download. The Meta ownership check is described above. The effective date identifies this version.
